WatchMaster® IP Ultra Thermal Camera
DRS Technologies expands the WatchMaster® IP thermal imaging camera line and brings additional affordable thermal imaging products to commercial surveillance and security applications with the WatchMaster® IP Ultra.
Like the popular WatchMaster® IP Elite, the WatchMaster® IP Ultra is optimized to operate in an IP network that can be controlled from a central office, a remote video management system or DRS' Web-based utility. The WatchMaster® IP Ultra adds pan-and-tilt capability for exceptional coverage, in a tamper resistant IP66 outdoor housing that weighs less than 2.33 kg (5.12 pounds) and occupies a volume of only 6100 cm3 (about 374 cu. in.). Unlike many conventional video surveillance cameras, the WatchMaster® IP Ultra does not require any ambient light or illumination. It utilizes DRS' innovative uncooled Vanadium oxide detection technology to generate a sharp video image with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels in daylight or darkness and in the most adverse weather conditions. It is available with any of three fixed-focus lenses, offering horizontal fields of view of 40°, 16° and 9°.
The WatchMaster® IP Ultra is conformant with the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF™) standard for interfacing with IP-based security devices and also provides a NTSC/PAL Analog video output. It can operate over its full temperature range in extreme environments while powering within standard IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) limits over conventional network cabling. In addition, it leads the industry in power savings, consuming less than 12.95 watts. As a result, the WatchMaster® IP Ultra can be configured and installed easily into existing security infrastructure. With its hybrid Analog and IP capability, the WatchMaster® IP Ultra provides investment protection and facilitates seamless migration to IP security systems.
